| A critical part of the treatment program involves the emotional make-up and well being of each adolescent. Master’s level therapists meet regularly (as called for in their treatment plan) with each boy or girl to discuss areas of concern including past behaviors, present difficulties, and future goals. Therapists also conduct group counseling sessions. An individualized treatment plan is established for every boy or girl focusing on issues such as as social skills, past abuses, relationships, emotional concerns, personal well-being, recreation therapy, etc., and are the basis for all therapeutic interventions. Structured level-based behavioral intervention systems throughout all areas of the program reward achievement and promote acceptable behaviors. Every staff member is trained in Crisis Intervention Techniques. |
