Designed to meet state requirements for all child care workers, these six days will prepare new employees immediately to meet the demands of the job and help experienced staff refocus attitudes, develop new skills and enhance professional knowledge. Designed to be taken as a six day package, each unit can be attended separately. (Each DAY in each separate unit must be attended, however) |

Day 3: CPR/First Aid/Preventing Disease Transmission includes: Certification from the American Red Cross in: • Standard First Aid • Adult CPR • Preventing Disease Transmission |
Days 4 - 6: Therapeutic Crisis Intervention includes: Cornell University certified trainers covering: • Intervention Approaches to Crisis • Awareness of self, the child and the environment • Early Intervention techniques • Therapeutic Physical Intervention including staff safety • Recovery for the child, for staff and the group |
